Description

High hydrogen sulfide (H2S) at the Joe Davies Elementary school early this moring, according to the Louisiana DEQ ambient air monitor known as "Meraux site". The H2S readings at 2am and 3am were 26 ppb H2S and 19 ppb H2S. The methane level is over 3.00 PPMC. Add two hours to the display time for daylight saving time and monitor configuration.

There is no wind direction noted on the Meraux site, however, the LDEQ Ch_Vista monitor recorded wind direction at 254 and 253 for these times.
